Compressed air leaks account for the greatest energy loss in a system and the potential for leaks to develop can be introduced at the installation and commissioning stage A new Code of Practice "Pressure and Leak Testing of compressed air systems" from BCAS defines best practice for jointing techniques, integrity testing (including risk assessment), pressure decay testing and staged pressure testing
