To help managers implement a quality management system and improve business processes, three DVDs are newly available from BSI Business Information.

As customers' expectations grow, it is essential that businesses continually improve so that they can provide products and services of the highest quality Quality is a continual process that doesn't just happen - it evolves over time and with experience

Organizations can help secure their future by committing to a process of continual improvement and introducing a quality management system (QMS) or by adopting the new process of conformity assessment.

A QMS is a common sense, well-documented system that ensures consistency and improvement of working practices, including the products and services produced.

A QMS is based on standards, which specify a procedure for achieving effective quality management.

BSI pioneered the development of the original quality management system standard BS 5750, which was developed into ISO 9000 and adopted by the International Standards Organization.

ISO 9000 is the standard most commonly used to provide a framework for a QMS.

Today, more than half a million companies are now registered to ISO 9000 and in 2004 10% more companies were registered to ISO 9000 than in the previous year.

By implementing and maintaining an effective QMS, organizations will benefit from effective management, control and improvement of business performance; integration of people and processes to deliver business objectives; ensuring management is by process rather than by department; a business that is built based on the needs of customers and stakeholders; enhanced supplier and customer confidence; ensuring change is brought about in a structured way; increased productivity by basing improvements on business results; making evaluations based on results and measurement; increased customer satisfaction.

To help managers implement a quality management system and improve business processes, three DVDs are newly available from BSI Business Information.
