In a move to extend the use of its Fixpack self-seal protective-cushioning mailers, BSK Fixpack has introduced an ex-stock range of sheets in five popular sizes Designed for lower throughput manual operations, or one-off mailings, where automatic, on-the-reel systems are not viable, the new sheets are claimed to be easy-to-use and cost-effective, particularly with regard to the new, size-related postal charges

Fixpack, an international brand in protective packaging, is said to provide an environmentally friendly, versatile and economical solution for companies involved in the unprecedented boom in home deliveries.

As more consumers buy from the internet, TV shopping channels and mail-order companies, recyclable corrugated product is said to be suitable for the safe delivery of items, such as books, CDs, DVDs, electrical components and spare parts.

The sheets are available from stock in the following sizes - 280mm x 350mm; 350mm x 430mm; 350mm x 530mm; 400mm x 530mm and 460mm x 580mm.

Subject to quantity, BSK can supply sheets and rolls incorporating a tear strip, bespoke sheet and roll sizes and over-printing in one and two colours.

Employing 100 people across five business divisions on a 12 acre site, BSK said it works to international quality protocols ISO 9001:2000.

BSK technologies handles a range of flexible substrates including foil, paper, glass tissue, glass reinforcement and film.

An independent group, BSK added that it has geared its production, warehousing and logistics facilities to provide a supply chain management service.
