SS 'workshop' advises on welding and
cleaning
A one-day stainless steel fabrication workshop will concentrate on practical help, including advice on grade selection, fabrication, welding 'dos and don'ts' and post-fabrication cleaning.
Following the success of earlier stainless steel fabrication workshops the next one will take place at TWI North East, Middlesbrough on Wednesday 25 October 2006 At the one-day event, all the essentials about working with stainless steel will be addressed

SS welding basics workshop succeeds
A workshop designed to provide basic principles on welding and fabricating stainless steel was targeted at engineers and senior management, was completely sold out in Sheffield.
The seminar will concentrate on practical help, including advice concerning grade selection, fabrication and welding 'dos and don'ts'.
It will also highlight post-fabrication cleaning.
Specialists from Outokumpu Stainless, TWI and the British Stainless Steel Association [BSSA] will outline best welding practices and correct some of the current misconceptions concerning fabricating with stainless steel.
The workshop should interest anyone already involved in the fabrication of products in stainless steel but equally will be of interest for those with little or no experience of working with the material.
The event is organised by TWI, Outokumpu Stainless and the BSSA in association with the Association of Welding Distributors.
Both the Welding Institute and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining will accredit the workshop as a CPD event.
Space is limited and previous workshops have been well attended, so early booking is recommended.
The enrolment fee is GBP 55 + VAT which includes lunch and a copy of the workshop handbook.
