Lynn Sidebottom, sales and marketing director at Beatson Clark said: "Winning this business for HP Foods is down to our ability to get close to our customers, understand their exact requirements and be flexible." Beatson Clarke believes that the flexibility of its manufacturing process has allowed the company to dovetail with HP Foods' requirements on a variety of bottles for use with their HP brands and customers own label products.
The contract totals over 13 million containers a year and includes bottles for HP Sauce, Daddies Sauce, and customer own label.
The bottles are manufactured across the Beatson Clark's Rotherham and Stairfoot sites in the UK, both of which are benefiting from a GBP 12 million investment programme that commenced in 2004 and is set to run through this year.
Sidebottom added: "Our commitment to investing in our position as a flexible and responsive company is providing us with an increased number of customers who have a varied range of containers with requirements from a few hundred thousand to tens of millions.".
