True miniaturisation in inductive style housings is offered by sensors available as diffuse, retro-reflective and thru-beam types, plus a fixed-focus variant in a square and tubular housings.

The new Mini-Opto family from Balluff offers true miniaturisation in inductive-style housings: BOS 8M and BOS Q08M Included in the family are diffuse, retro-reflective and thru-beam types, plus a fixed-focus variant in a square housing 8 mm on a side or in the tubular M8 housing

A special highlight of this series is the diffuse model with fixed focus and 20mm scan range - ideal for small parts detection.

Anyone looking for high performance and functional security at a low price need look no further than the new miniature universal photoelectric sensors in the BOS 5K family with dimensions of 31x9x10mm.

The user simply selects the appropriate model for his application.

Unneeded features have been eliminated, reflected in an ideal cost/ performance ratio.

Here the highlight is the 'small beam' version, a retro-reflective model with an especially precise light beam which enables even a needle to be detected over the entire scan range.

The new opto-sub-mini.s from Balluff Now rounding out the Balluff photoelectric sensor family are the new BOS 2K sensors as diffuse - with or without background suppression - retro-reflective or thru-beam types.

These tiny sensors are especially suited for the many requirements of assembly and handling technology and feature long scan ranges, fast response times and high immunity to ambient light.

With dimensions of just 20x7.5x10mm, the BOS 2K sensors offer unbeatable performance and are easy to attach in slots, pockets or guide rails.

The small, laser-like light spot enables reliable detection of even the smallest objects in tight mounting space conditions.

Exact positioning, precisely defined scan ranges and a light spot just 1mm in size are all made possible by a new kind of pinpoint LED.

The highlight of this sub mini-format series is true background suppression - a key function of photoelectric sensors.

For protection against harsh environments the sensor has an IP 67 rating, and the mounting of these sensors using a metal sleeve and M3 screws contributes to longer service life.
