Catalogue details 300 sensor models
Incorporating the latest Brad Harrison products, Balluff's 2005 Inductive Proximity Sensor Catalogue has over 300 hundred sensors grouped into six sections.
Balluff has introduced its all-new 2005 Inductive Proximity Sensor Catalogue, incorporating the latest Brad Harrison Stock Catalogue This full colour 78 page catalogue incorporates over 300 hundred sensors which ensures that the most popular sensors for industrial applications are to hand in one easy to use catalogue

Designed for a variety of applications, optical sensors are ideal for positioning tasks such as level detection, material jam control or detection needing expanded background suppression.
The catalogue is grouped by sensor size in six sections Mini, M8, M12, M18, M30 and Block.
All sections include full colour photographs, easy to read dimension drawings and full technical data.
Technical data for each sensor includes recommended connector as well as voltage, housing material and degree of protection.

Sensor resolution down to 20 microns
The BOD series Laser Measurement Sensors utilizes the accuracy of laser light to produce an analogue distance measurement sensor with resolution down to 20 microns.
Miniature inductive proximity sensors get smaller
Miniature inductive proximity sensors with long sensing distance are made now with an even smaller package for smaller automatic handling systems, special assembly machines and grippers.
Compact ultrasonics sensors are easy to operate
Compact ultrasonics sensors with numerical digital display needs the operator only to input parameters and then read measuring values in plain text during the running operation.
Additionally, the catalogue highlights the sensors special feature such as high pressure, high temperature, extended range, weld immune etc Further sections within the catalogue include accessories, a detailed technical reference section, quick order index as well as the latest Brad Harrison Stock Catalogue detailing off the shelf solutions for connectors and splitter boxes.
The technical reference section includes a breakdowns of IP ratings as well as the Balluff part number system.
To keep the catalogue up to date the full catalogue will soon be available on the Balluff web site www.balluff.co.uk and will be frequently updated with new sensing products as they become available.
The 2005 edition accessories section has been expanded further and now includes even more brackets, again full dimensional drawings and colour photos are included.
* Latest products - Ceramic Coated Weld Immune Sensor (W01) - Balluff have developed a new range of weld immune, inductive proximity sensors with a thick, rugged, ceramic coating to give protection when used in the most extreme applications in weld environments.
The special W01 ceramic based coating contains additive to dramatically increase sensor life in welding applications allowing the sensor to resist weld 'slag' build up, high heat and mechanical damage.
* The Miniblock R01 Inductive Sensors - Balluff's Miniblock sensors may be small, but they have superior sensing range.
Their narrow package can be used in applications where standard tubular sensors are just too large.
Weld Field Immune versions are available.
* The 3mm Inductive Mini Sensor - the new 3mm diameter sensors have not only the smallest diameter available, but also the longest sensing distances available for any 3mm sensors.
* SteelFace Inductive Sensor - Balluff has introduced its SteelFaceTM inductive sensor, designed to survive longer in environments where mechanical damage is an issue.
Balluff's sensor is extremely rugged.
Unlike many competing designs that use a steel end cap, The SteelFace sensor housing is milled from one piece of solid stainless steel with an impact and abrasion resistant face approximately 1mm thick.
These sensors come in ferrous-only and nonferrous-only models.
A ferrous-only sensor detects ferrous metals such as steel, iron and nickel, while ignoring nonferrous metals.
Nonferrous-only detection models detect non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, and brass objects and ignore ferrous objects.
