A Balluff UK product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 19, 2008

An open standard interface is simple to use, quick and easy to install and compatible to existing field bus platforms such as PROFIBUS and DeviceNet.

As well as showing their latest range of sensor solutions, Balluff will have two dedicated focus areas for IO-Link and Industrial RFID at the UK's MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition.

IO-Link is claimed to be a breakthrough in sensor and actuator communication.

IO-Link is the latest open standard interface that is simple to use, quick and easy to install and compatible to existing field bus platforms such as PROFIBUS and DeviceNet.

Further benefits include advanced diagnostics and low cost standard three-core cabling, even for analogue applications.

* Industrial RFID - industrial RFID is an area where Balluff has many years proven experience and industry knowledge.

On the stand at MACH 2008 will be a fully functioning tool pre-setter that will enable our product specialists to demonstrate the benefits of RFID in tool management, answer visitor questions on the principles of RFID and discuss other applications where it can be used.

* Balluff UK at MACH 2008, NEC, Birmingham, UK, April 21-25, Hall 5, Stand 5530.
