Non-contact system speeds measurement
Specialist tooling and component manufacturer has strengthened its measurement capabilities and reduced lead times by investing in a non-contact flexible measuring system.
Mike Burrows, Burcas managing director, explains, "Our competitive strategy is to expand production in areas where we can provide our customers with the very highest quality and service and also offer comprehensive support and back-up.
This new CNC precision forming grinder, which combines high accuracy with high productivity, reliably repeats to a micron or better and is particularly suitable for the profile grinding of tungsten carbide, will help us to achieve this." The Meister G3 incorporates a Fanuc 20i-FA controller, which uses software specially developed by Wasino and offers built in cycles and graphics, together providing very fast set-up times.
By joining Burcas' existing range of grinding machines, the Wasino is enabling the company to further extend its services to customers in a range of demanding engineering sectors.
