Hexagon Metrology opens North American
HQ
Hexagon Metrology's new headquarters building features a metrology product showroom, state-of-the-art training centre, modern manufacturing complex and a calibration laboratory.
Hexagon Metrology has announced it will host an invitation-only Grand Opening celebration of its new North American headquarters on September 14, 2006 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island The company's newly constructed building is located at 250 Circuit Drive in the high-tech Quonset Business Park

The Hexagon North American headquarters is a 126,000ft2 high efficiency, environmentally controlled structure with over 12,000ft2 devoted to product showrooms, a state-of-the-art training centre, and a calibration labouratory.
The company will conduct more than 80 software training classes at this location each year, training an average of 500 students.
Value-added customer services such as contract programming and inspection will be offered at this location.
The 58,000ft2 manufacturing complex will support the production, assembly, calibration and testing operations for Brown and Sharpe coordinate measurement systems.
The facility will also serve as Hexagon Metrology's worldwide manufacturing centre for the fabrication of air bearings.
The company is pursuing A2LA accreditation and plans to offer commercial calibration services for dimensional gages and equipment at this site.
The Hexagon building also contains staff offices, executive meeting rooms, and a research and development centre.
The ultra-modern showroom will serve as the main demonstration site for Hexagon's extensive name-brand portfolio of quality assurance products including Brown and Sharpe, Leica Geosystems, ROMER, Sheffield, PC-DMIS, DEA, Leitz, and TESA.
Hexagon Metrology has ten manufacturing facilities on four continents supported by 40+ sales and support locations worldwide.
Hexagon name-brand metrology products are widely used by aerospace, defence, medical, automotive, shipbuilding antenna, and space hardware industries.
