Metrology machines include mini CMM
As well as a default scanning probe option, a metrology company will show a compact laser tracker CMM, a white light 3D scanning system and a mini CMM for precision engineering and micro machining.
The mobile metrology system delivers the power of articulated arm measurement and laser scanning for on-demand part inspection and/or reverse engineering right on the shop floor.
Romer's suite of portable measurement products are used worldwide by the automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, and general engineering and manufacturing industries.
The ScanShark V5 is the most flexible and configurable ScanShark laser probe available.
The ScanShark V5 can deliver an unprecedented 458,000 points per second scanning speed, nearly 20 times greater than the ScanShark V4i, with a point to point resolution of 12 microns, and a 140mm wide laser stripe.
A proprietary integrated rangefinder simplifies the scanning process for the operator.
The V5 is capable of scanning reflective surfaces and varying colours without applying surface preparation.
Mated to a Romer Infinite articulating arm, maximum high-density surface inspection of a workpiece can be achieved, with direct integration to PolyWorks software for a variety of applications such as inspection, reverse engineering, and other computer aided engineering activities.
"We are committed to delivering maximum performance and flexibility with the Romer ScanShark solutions," states Tom Moran, president of Romer "The addition of the ScanShark V5 allows customers with some of the toughest-to-scan parts to achieve the desired results with greater ease and speed than ever before." The ScanShark V5 probe will be demonstrated at the Eastec Exposition, May 22-24, in West Springfield, MA, in Hexagon Metrology's stand number 3101.
