Universal 3D metrology software deal
signed
Hexagon Metrology SAS and InnovMetric Software have signed a partnership deal under which Hexagon will distribute PolyWorks universal 3D metrology software.
Hexagon Metrology SAS of Montoire, France, is to distribute the PolyWorks suniversal 3D metrology software platform for manufacturing applications, following a partnership deal signed with InnovMetric Software of Quebec, Canada Under the terms of this agreement, Hexagon Metrology SAS will distribute PolyWorks with Romer measuring arms and 3D digitising systems, throughout Hexagon's Romer Division in France

He continued: "This partnership will also allow Hexagon Metrology SAS to offer to its many customers in the automotive and aeronautic industries that own a Romer portable CMM the opportunity to add a G-Scan scanner and the PolyWorks software, and benefit from the various advantages of non-contact inspection using high-density point clouds".
At the Romer Factory of Hexagon Metrology SAS, its director, Romain Granger, commented: "The PolyWorks 3D metrology software has become the reference among the European manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive and aeronautic industries, thanks to its powerful point-cloud-based parts analysis tools.
This agreement also gives us access to the PolyWorks support team located in Paris, and it allows us to effectively complement our offer of portable CMMs to our targeted client base.".
