Participants in a new series of eSeminars running through to Sept 20 will learn about the AutoPLANT features driving this growth - features that have proven to increase productivity by as much as 70 percent over straight AutoCAD.
These productivity improvements have been achieved across multiple industry segments, as evidenced by the seven BE Award 3D modeling nominations that chose AutoPLANT:.

* Jordan, Jones and Goulding (JJG), working with CH2M HILL and Precision Planning, provided program and construction management for phases one and two of the F Wayne Hill Water Resources Centre in Gwinnett County, Ga.
When the second phase is completed in 2007, the plant's capacity will increase to 60 million gallons of reclaimed water every day, or nearly 42,000 gallons per minute.
* Advanced Production and Loading (APL) delivered two single-point mooring systems used in subsea oil production to Bohai Bay off the coast of China.
Each system provides the fixed weather-vaning mooring for the floating production, storage, and offloading system and interface between the subsea pipelines and cables.
Their use allows the transfer of well fluids from, and injection water and power to, the wellhead platforms.
* Kellogg Brown and Root Pty (KBR) produced detailed documentation for the manufacture and installation of new equipment to upgrade two nitric acid plants and the cooling water system for Orica Limited's Yarwum plant.
The plant manufactures explosives for the mining industry in Australia.
* KH Engineering designed the piping, structural, and civil works for a new combined heat and power plant.
The plant will be used to produce steam, feed water, demineralised water, and electricity for an existing oxide plant in Antwerp, Belgium.
* VECO was awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips for the West Sak program, the largest-ever heavy oil development program in Alaska.
The program will increase West Sak production from an average of 10,000 barrels per day to approximately 45,000 barrels per day.
* A cost-effective wellhead facility was developed by WorleyParsons Services for the Victoria Platform Development to exploit marginal oil field reserves in Western Australia.
The substructure and deck were both fabricated in Kwinana and transported to Dampier for shipment to the offshore site for installation.
* York Process Systems furnished a centrifugal compressor for a propane refrigeration system in a gas processing facility in Waynesboro, Pa.
The compressor is part of the refrigeration process on the de-ethaniser system, which removes heavy hydrocarbons from the raw gas stream.
In each of these projects, the use of AutoPLANT products to create 3D models for collaborative design:.
* Improved the quality of reviews and decreased the time required to complete them.
* Reduced and helped preclude interferences.
* Improved document accuracy.
* Helped contractors visualise construction sequences, minimising disruptions to plant operations and reducing construction time.
* Improved communications among project teams.
* Saved time and money.
* Increased productivity.
Those participating in the new series of eSeminars will see, firsthand, how AutoPLANT - the No 1 AutoCAD-based design solution in the world - provides plant owner-operators and engineers with 2D, 3D, and CAE applications that:.
* Span the lifecycle of an asset from engineering and design to construction to operations and maintenance.
* Can be deployed across geographically dispersed teams.
* Use data from a variety of CAD and engineering analysis sources.
