WaterGEMS' and SewerGEMS' Interoperability Eliminates Software Incompatibility Problems While Maintaining Data Integrity.
Bentley Systems has announced that the City of Trois-Rivieres, Canada, has selected Bentley's water resources modeling software to support the operation and management of the city's newly consolidated infrastructure Due to recent mergers among six municipalities in Quebec, the water, sewer, and storm drainage networks of the City of Trois-Rivieres encompass nearly 2,000 kilometers of piping

People's Choice Award for Watergems
Bentley Systems has announced that WaterGems V8 XM Edition has won the People's Choice Award for "Most Useful New Product" at the American Water Works Association 2006 Annual Conference
To successfully operate and manage these independently designed networks as a single massive network, the city needed to:.
* Seamlessly integrate the data from three separate network models and diverse databases.
* Develop accurate hydraulic models of the networks in order to meet the new water management requirements imposed by Quebec's Environment Quality Act.
"To effectively develop the hydraulic models the Environment Quality Act requires, the city needed a water resources modeling solution capable of interoperating with MicroStation, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD," said Jerome Lavoie, head of technical services, City of Trois-Rivieres.
"After an extensive evaluation, we determined that Bentley's WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS are the only solutions available that can integrate with all the city's software applications without losing the integrity of the data." The city also chose WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS because of their ability to efficiently evaluate potential rehabilitation and expansion scenarios.
The extensive scenario management capabilities of these products will help the city prioritize its infrastructure spending, improve levels of service, and prevent overflows in the city's sanitary and combined sewers. Request a free brochure from Bentley Systems ...
