A range of high quality and competitively priced socket sets ncludes 51 sets, offers end-users a wide range of choice, including Metric, AF and Whitworth sizes.

Britool, the UK's leading professional tightening tools supplier, is undertaking an extensive product and price review of its market leading range of products as part of a major re-launch of the brand From 1 April 2007, the company will carry out stage one of the re-launch - a brand new range of high quality and competitively priced socket sets

David Osborne, head of marketing for Britool, said: "The professional tightening tools market is highly competitive, therefore it is vitally important as the leading player that we constantly look to add value to the service we provide our customers." He added: "By re-launching the brand, not only does it mean our distributors can offer their end-user customers a superior product that they have come to expect from Britool, but the new price point makes it even more competitive.

Ultimately, you will not get a more reliable and quality product at this price anywhere on the market." The new range, which includes 51 sets, offers end-users a wide range of choice, including Metric, AF and Whitworth sizes.

In addition to the standard socket sets (4-13mm 1/4inSd, 6-21mm 3/8inSd and 10-32mm 1/2inSd), the range includes sets of sockets on rails, sets of extension bars, bit sockets on rails and torx sockets on rails.

The new range also features a far higher standard of finish, offering superior corrosion protection.

To complement this, there are a number of other key benefits over the old Britool socketry range: * Improved quality - all the sockets in the new Britool range are cold forged, which can only be done by a small number of companies worldwide.

The result of cold forging is a far stronger socket that is less likely to split under high loads and less likely to have chrome flaking problems.

In addition, the internal form of the socket is much better, as no scale is formed due to heating.

* Advanced drive - the profile of the new Britool sockets moves the point of the drive further away from the corner of the fastener onto the flank.

This significantly increases the load that can be applied without rounding off the head or risking the socket slipping.

The socket square drive is also relieved at the corners, allowing higher torque loads to be applied without damaging the square drive.

* New packaging - a stylish new packaging concept has been introduced to give the range a fresh and up-to-date new look.

Barcodes, part numbers and relevant product information are clearly labelled on all items and all sets which are packaged on blister cards are equipped with a euro slot so they can be easily displayed.

The new Britool socketry range is featured in the company's latest 'Promotional Offers' catalogue (April-June 2007).
