Bilsom is introducing a remarkable 23 new products at this year's National Safety Council Congress and Expo in New Orleans, USA.

Bilsom is introducing a remarkable 23 new products at the 2004 National Safety Council Congress and Expo in New Orleans, USA Products include 14 new special application earmuffs and nine other product upgrades

The special application earmuffs, which include helmet mounts, neckband and folding versions, account for the majority of the new products.

Upgrades to other models are based on a new and innovative air flow technology, as well as AM/FM capability on Bilsom's Radio and Electo brands.

"Bilsom is excited to lead the way in innovation in the earmuff market by introducing 23 new models at NSC for the second year in a row," says Bill Sokol, VP of strategic marketing for Bilsom's parent company, Bacou-Dalloz.

"Our commitment is to develop products that are comfortable and convenient for users to wear, and thereby increase worker safety and compliance".

New features designed for convenience include new helmet mounts which are available with an extensive range of adapters to fit a wide variety of hard hats.

New neckband earmuffs allow workers to wear hearing protection along with other protective gear, such as face shields and visors.

Both helmet-mount and neckband earmuffs come in a choice of NRRs (noise reduction ratings) and styles.

Folding earmuffs, available in the Clarity, Leightning and Thunder lines, make these popular hearing protection devices even easier to store and transport.

This handy design is suitable for workers who are constantly moving to new worksites, such as those in construction and utility industries.

Several of Bilsom's upgraded models will incorporate a newly patented Air Flow Control technology (AFC), which provides higher noise reduction ratings and more consistent attenuation across all octave bands, particularly in lower frequencies.

Earmuffs featuring this AFC design will come with convenient snap-in ear cushions that can be easily replaced if they become soiled or damaged.

In an effort to enhance worker satisfaction on the job, Bilsom's Radio and Electo earmuffs have been updated to include both AM and FM capability.

The earmuffs feature an external switch to make it easy for users to select the desired band.

The Electo model is available in both headband and helmet-mount versions.

All of the new Bilsom earmuffs feature a rugged construction to stand up to the most demanding uses.

The new and updated products will be available in January 2005, and part numbers for the updated products will remain the same.

"When we revamped the Bilsom product line in early 2004, we made a promise that the industry would be able to look to us for further innovation and unique market applications in the near future," says Sokol.

"The introduction of these new products and technology in 2005 fulfils that promise and proves our commitment to providing quality and affordable hearing safety products that focus on comfort, utility and value".

Bilsom was founded in Sweden in 1968 and claims to lead the industry in developing innovative sound management technologies that are used in some of the most challenging environments in the world.

Bilsom is part of the Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group, a world leader in hearing safety.
