Boxes Prestige has produced a luxury carton for United Biscuits (UB), a European manufacturer of biscuits and snacks, for the McVitie's Temptations range of festive biscuits, which will be on sale ready for the Christmas period The selections of milk, white and dark chocolates are said to capture the decadence of the festive season with a high quality pack to reinforce the branding

The carton is printed on 450 micron recycled box board in six colours with one matt and one spot gloss varnish to bring out the product image.

The 250g box of biscuits uses a festive green and red colour scheme, as well as an embossed design and foil blocking to create a classic, stylish effect.

Boxes Prestige's capabilities and experience of producing premium cartons was central to UB's supplier selection criteria, said the company.

The firm's in-house design centre and consultative approach helped produce attractive and distinctive packaging for the McVitie's Temptations range.

Sital Parmar, UB's group brand manager for McVitie's Temptations, commented: "McVitie's Temptations is a luxury, indulgent product and we needed the packaging to reflect this.

Because of the volume of products on the market at this time of year, the quality of the packaging was extremely important and Boxes Prestige has created an attractive and festive design, which will generate the shelf appeal we were looking for." Chris Fuller, Boxes Prestige's external account manager for United Biscuits, said: "For this product we needed to create a quality finish in keeping with the image of the product.

Incorporating embossing, foil blocking and complementary varnishes allowed us to provide the right pack.

We have a large blue chip client base and proven track record of excellent customer relations and we are proud to count United Biscuits as one of our most valued partners.".
