Female clamp terminals get new pitch
Camden Electronics, the UK's prime source for PCB terminal blocks, has added to its vertical female plug-in rising clamp terminals with a new 5.08mm pitch version.
Adaptor converts top-hats into G-style mountings
Camden Electronics has introduced a neat adaptor that converts symmetric "top-hat" style DIN rail mounting products to asymmetric G-style mountings.
Manufactured to DIN 43880 dimensions, the units are supplied as kits that simply snap together to form enclosures capable of housing up to three printed circuit boards with maximum component stacking.
Moulded from grey, flame retardant Noryl to UL94-V0, the modules feature solid grey panels as standard or optional smoked transparent and transparent clear or red covers where LCD or LED displays are incorporated within the enclosure.
Terminal protection options include snap-fit covers for IP20 finger protection and 5.08, 7.5, 7.63 or 10.16mm pitch self-customised perforated terminal covers allowing screwdriver access.

DIN rail enclosure meets virtually any need
Snap-fit DIN rail enclosures result in a highly versatile DIN rail enclosure that can be adapted by users to meet almost any conceivable requirement.
Custom terminal covers with customer specified holes and pitch can also be made to special order.
The new size 5 enclosure measures 88mm wide by 90mm long with overall module height of 58mm including DIN clip.
This completes the family of enclosures originally offered in single (17.5mm wide), double (36mm), triple (53mm), quad (71mm), six (106mm) and nine (160mm) sizes.
All sizes are supplied with double rows of terminals.
Sizes six and nine are also available with the option of a single row of terminals.
Extended height versions of all sizes are available offering capacity of four PCBs in enclosures 73mm high including DIN clip.
Supplied in kit form, the enclosures offer easy snap-together tool-less construction from a base section, module box, cover, terminal cover(s) and DIN rail clip.
Ideal for screen printing logos etc., the front panel can be supplied with customer specified holes drilled for volume orders.
As an alternative to the standard grey mouldings, volume customers can also order DIN rail mounting enclosures in blue, black or green.
Additional special options include higher rated RTI black material, EMC shielded metallic coated boxes and customised terminal guards.
Camden Electronics' DIN rail mounting enclosures are available from the company and its franchised distributors including CPC, Rapid, Arrow Electronics, Maplin, JPR Electronics and, most recently, Essex-based Quality Components.
