Vehicle batteries suit constant
charge/discharge
A range of valve regulated lead acid batteries for use in electric vehicles are designed for applications where a battery is constantly discharged then recharged.

Camden Electronics, the UK's prime source for PCB terminal blocks, has added to its vertical female plug-in rising clamp terminals with a new 5.08mm pitch version.
Featuring flame retardant cases, BEV batteries offer nominal capacities from 12 to 70Ah in industry standard sizes.
Designed for applications where a battery is constantly discharged then recharged, BEV batteries are available in seven sizes offering 12, 18 and 24Ah at 20h rate and 33, 40, 55 and 70Ah at 10h rate.
Dimensions (lwh) range from 151 x 98 x 95mm for the 12Ah model to 260 x 168 x 211mm for the 70Ah type.
Weights range from 3.7 to 24kg.
The 12Ah model features 6.35mm tag terminals while M5 inserts are offered on the 18 and 24Ah batteries.
The four largest versions have M6 insert terminations.
Additional specifications include operating temperature range from -15 to +50 deg C with capacity of 100% at nominal temperature of 25 deg C (102% at 40 deg C, 85% at 0 deg C and 65% at -15 deg C).
Cyclic charging voltage range is from 14.5 to 14.9V and float charging voltage is from 13.6 to 13.8V.
