The MSc in Managing Organisational Performance and the MSc in Programme and Project Management will run for the first time in 2007 while the MSc in International Human Resource Management (Defence) starts in October (2006).
The MSc in Managing Organisational Performance has been developed by Cranfield's Centre for Business Performance and is designed to increase organisational performance capabilities in both the public and private sectors.
It will give mid-career individuals the knowledge, skills, confidence and experience necessary for performance management roles at a time when managing, measuring and reviewing is high on the business agenda and performance targets and league tables are commonplace methods of evaluation.
The MSc in Programme and Project Management has been commissioned by the Defence College of Management and Technology at Shrivenham and will be delivered in collaboration with the University of Manchester.
It will offer students the chance to study for a Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and MSc over three years.
Public sector managers will be studying alongside their MoD counterparts and teaching faculty will combine the expertise of Cranfield in leading-edge programme management research with that of Manchester University in project management.
The MSc in International Human Resource Management (Defence) is an adaptation of Cranfield's existing MSc in International HRM but has been customised extensively for the defence environment with four new modules: employment law and HRM; the global economic defence environment; managing change in the defence environment, and knowledge management and HRM.
The first group of students will be drawn primarily from the UK military, but this will be expanded in future years attracting overseas military personnel and employees from the defence industries.
Students will have the opportunity to qualify for a Certificate and/or Diploma in International Human Resource Management at certain points in the programme.
