Tube labelling machine order illustrates trend
An ongoing industry trend is towards labelling tubes as opposed to using pre-decorated tubes; a trend that has been evident since the arrival of bespoke tube labelling machines.
Air cooled induction sealer launched
Air-cooled sealing machines are a highly reliable, cost effective, proven alternative to traditional water-cooled induction sealing systems.
The scope of the new contract involves packing hundreds of thousands of cutlery pieces in to canteens and specially designed displays, across many different lines.
The contract will be based at CERT's 90,000 square foot shared user distribution centre in Rotherham and will also involve the storage of components and the warehousing and UK deliveries of finished product to major department store chains.
Deliveries will be made using CERT's UK transport network.
Commenting on the decision to appoint CERT, Kevin Lister, warehouse manager at Amefa, said: "A change in our operational strategy meant that it was necessary for all our packing requirements to be completed off site.
I know of CERT through previous roles I have held with different organisations and they have a superb track record.
Amefa decided to award the contract to CERT because of its flexibility, knowledge and the fact that the company can manage the entire process of packing, storage and delivery." Laurence Abel, CERT's group commercial director commented: "We are delighted to have been awarded this new contract with Amefa and we look forward to building a long standing partnership.
Our diverse customer base includes companies that operate in the wines and spirits through to personal care sectors and because of that variety CERT can offer many synergies throughout the supply chain, namely greater load consolidation, which means we can continuously offer a first class service but at competitive rates.".
