CERT Group unveils two new packing centres

Leading UK bonded logistics service provider, CERT Group, has announced plans to increase its UK contract packing capacity with the opening of two new centres at its facilities

The move comes on the back of significant new customer wins and substantial volume growth.

CERT Group has assembled record volumes of gift packs over the last year, up 20% in the last 12 months.

During the peak months leading up to the festive period, over seven million gift packs were assembled, a 30% increase over the same period last year.

In addition to this, the number of SKUs handled over the peak period grew by 25%.

The two new contract packing centres are a key part of CERT Group's growth strategy over the next few years and CERT has recognised that new and existing customers require more added value services at strategically placed locations.

Ideally situated at the centre of the country, the Lutterworth facility will boast a 25,000 square feet contract packing area, with 164,000 square feet of storage space and 19 loading bays.

Close to Junction 20 of the M1, Lutterworth is one of the Midland's prime distribution sites.

The contract packing centre is now available for use.

CERT Group will also be opening a new, state-of-the art, environmentally friendly site in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire in June 2007.

This new site will encompass a 10,000 square feet contract packing area, and is ideally located to service companies in the South East and London.

Both facilities have full HM Revenue and Customs approval.

The addition of these two new sites increases CERT's contract packing, storage and distribution capacity to over one million square feet.

CERT Group currently has two existing contract packing sites, Rotherham, South Yorkshire and Middleton, Manchester.

Customers include Coty inc, The Body Shop, Red Bull, Rimmel London, Foster's EMEA and The Gift Pack Company.
