Vertical machining centre with a dedicated 5-axis table will be making its world debut, along with a fixed table VMC, which will be seen in Europe for the first time.

Designed and built at the facility in Birmingham, England, the new FTV5 and CFV5 range of 5-axis machining centres from Cincinnati Lamb will be seen for the first time at EMO 2005 in Hanover, Germany (14-21 September 2005) Exhibited on the Cincinnati Lamb and Honsberg stand (Hall 27, B76/C77), the products will demonstrate their abilities in positional and simultaneous 5-axis machining

The FTV5 with its integral HSK-63A spindle will be presented at EMO with the Heidenhain iTNC 530 CNC control and will demonstrate machining a variety of materials from aluminium to hard steels, in 3-, 4- and full, simultaneous 5-axis modes.

The fixed table and extensive working envelope with Y-axis range up to 1005mm can incorporate heavy loads up to 10,000kg, ideal for machining heavy dies and large aerospace parts.

The CFV5 with 5-axis integrated rotary table technology comfortably machines workpieces up to 400mm in diameter and 300mm high, and has up to 150 deg tilt capability.

Superior parts surface finish and accuracy is achieved from the high-rigidity cast frame structure, minimising chatter and vibration for a flawless finish.

A choice of state-of-the-art leading CNC control systems are available to provide both positioning and simultaneous 5-axis machining capability, the CFV5 at EMO will be shown with the highly specified GE Fanuc 18i-MB5.

The high speed 'Si' version will be demonstrated at EMO, with its optional 20,000 rev/min integral HSK-63A spindle, ideal for mould and die machining and aerospace structures.

Along with the 5-axis solutions, Cincinnati Lamb are exhibiting a range of 3-axis compact vertical machining centres, and single- and twin spindle horizontal machining centres with pallet changing systems.

Cincinnati Lamb and Honsberg are also showcasing the company's abilities in the aerospace, composites manufacturing and automotive industries.

EMO 2005, Hannover, Germany, September 14-21, Hall 27, B76/C77.
