Customised CNC with wizard screens used in VMCs
A customised CNC is believed the most user-friendly, reliable and highly specified CNC on the market, and is available with a range vertical machining centres.
With an excellent price to performance ratio, the BlueStar 5 machining centre comprises a fast 180 deg hydraulic pallet changer with a high load capacity for safe and accurate pallet positioning.
This combined with a 360 deg rotary loading station that utilises four 90 degree index positions with optional hydraulic clamping.
This accompanies a working envelope of 700 x 630 x 700mm in X, Y and Z axis respectively to deliver outstanding functionality and flexibility.

Five-axis VMCs feature high precision tilt head
A range of 5-axis fixed table VMCs has a high precision spindle head that features up to +/-95 deg tilt in the A-axis and full 360 deg contouring in the C-axis - ideal for machining complex parts.
The indexing table has a hydraulic four cone pallet location system for enhanced repeatability with a positive air pressure to guarantee protection against coolant and swarf.
This heavily ribbed machine bed is a single piece casting with exceptionally high damping characteristics for enhanced rigidity.
The bed has a three point location with vibration damping elements that not only improve rigidity but also the surface finish and quality of work conducted upon the BlueStar.
The slideways of the BlueStar 5 are also extremely rigid and with backlash free pre-tensioned roller slides, stick-slip free axis movements and a Schneeberger direct measuring system integrated into the slideways, accuracy is an absolute given.
To enhance performance further, the extremely fast 40 tool change carousel works with a disc magazine with an optional cassette magazine.
Capable of holding tools up to 80mm diameter in any of its four tool taper options, the BlueStar 5 has a chip to chip time of less than 4s.
This speed is matched by the BlueStar's direct drive that delivers 50m/min rapid traverse rates with 5-7m/s2 acceleration.
With a phenomenal productivity rate, this machining centre is supported by a swarf management system that is integrated into the machine bed.
The robust spiral conveyor that can be combined with the coolant system guarantees swarf removal rates that live up to the productivity rate of the machine.
This productivity is supported by a powerful Fanuc 21i-MB control with a Siemens Sinumerik 840D control optional.
Both controls are supplied as standard with highly powerful shopfloor programming packages.
To further promote user friendliness and the operational experience, the BlueStar 5 also provides the option of a status beacon, Visiport rotating wiper, coolant flush for the work area as well as work area extraction.
