HMC and VMCs solve machining problems
At the MACH 2006 exhibition, Cincinnati will show a HMC and VMCs - including 5-axis types - as well as a heavy duty and precise mould machining package and a CNC mill/turn centre.

The FTV5 range is available in three X-axis range designations up to 3700mm, making it the ideal choice for aerospace, precision machining and die and mould applications.
* The FTV5 with its integral HSK-63A spindle will be presented at MACH with the Heidenhain iTNC 530 CNC control and will demonstrate machining a variety of materials from aluminium to hard steels, in 3-, 4- and full, simultaneous 5-axis modes.
The fixed table and extensive working envelope with Y-axis range up to 1005 mm can incorporate heavy loads up to 10,000kg, ideal for machining heavy dies and large aerospace parts.
* CFV5 - 5-axis vertical machining centre - also making its UK-debut, the CFV5 incorporates a dedicated table solution bringing full 5-axis, 5-sided large capacity machining capability to the popular range of tried and tested CFV vertical machining centres.
The CFV5 with 5-axis integrated rotary table technology comfortably machines workpieces up to 400mm in diameter and 300mm high, and has up to 150 deg tilt capability.
Superior parts surface finish and accuracy is achieved from the high-rigidity cast frame structure and linear guideways, which minimise chatter and vibration for a flawless finish.
A choice of state-of-the-art leading CNC control systems are available to provide both positioning and simultaneous 5-axis machining capability.
The precision machining 'CFV5-i' version will be demonstrated at MACH with the Heidenhain iTNC 530 CNC control, demonstrating its medical capabilities through the machining of synthetic materials.
* VMC-4020 - high productivity vertical machining centre - Cincinnati introduces to MACH the latest addition into its comprehensive range of vertical machining centres - the VMC-4020.
With its high-rigidity box ways, the VMC-4020 is a true workhorse for high production machining.
The VMC range is supplied as standard with a highly-specified GE Fanuc 18i-MB5 CNC control.
A choice of X-axis ranges and spindle powers are available throughout the full VMC range to meet both capacity and performance requirements.
* Bluestar 5 - horizontal machining centre - the Bluestar 5 horizontal machining centre will be demonstrating high-value horizontal machining solutions at low capital outlay.
With its single piece rigid cast machine bed, the Bluestar range provides high machining accuracy and repeatability, all in a space saving compact footprint.
Its large working envelope, pallet changer and choice of pallet size ensures full flexibility of machined parts.
The Bluestar 5 will be shown at MACH with the GE Fanuc 21i-MB control, with its versatile 40 series 10,000 rev/min spindle and 500mm x 500mm pallets.
* Blueturn 250 - vertical turning centre - the Blueturn 250 vertical turning centre will be demonstrating high-productivity vertical turning.
Available in two models, the Blueturn range with its high standard specification and ergonomic set-up has been designed with both productivity and the operator in mind.
Short tool-change times, a fast spindle and a large capacity of workpieces up to 30kg in weight and up to 450mm in diameter help to turn more parts, more quickly.
Large viewing windows and doors ensure optimum visibility and access to the extensive working area.
An automatic conveyor system will be shown at MACH to demonstrate high-productivity and unmanned running.
* HTC-150M - horizontal turning centre - the popular HTC-150M will be demonstrated at MACH to show fast, versatile mill/turn capability at low capital outlay.
