EMO generated EUR 150m orders for
machine tools
One international machine tool builder, the MAG Group, reported over EUR 150 million of orders generated at the EMO 2007 machine tool exhibition, with more to follow.
MAG Industrial Automation Systems showing as a unified group for the first time on a combined 3650m2 stand drew in over EUR 150 million of business, with more to follow MAG presented a standardized and uniform look at EMO, presenting almost 50 machines featuring an entirely new design with a striking stripe to ensure that the products are immediately recognizable

* Giddings and Lewis horizontal boring milling machines.
* MAG Powertrain XK cold forming machines.
* NDM mill-turn centres with B-axis from MAG +FMS+ * NBH-models from MAG Hueller Hille.
* MAG Cincinnati machining centres (an FTV 5 was sold off the stand to a UK customer).
The UK sales manager for MAG Cincinnati Machine, David Carter commented: "EMO was an extremely successful show for the group and this has been quantified by the level of orders taken at the exhibition.
