Our customers are now able to get everything they need from a single source".

The aim of MAG Maintenance Technologies is to take over the full logistics including consumables, tools, software and maintenance and to give the customer the option of concentrating on their area of expertise.
Boyd said: "Managing and maintaining a machine takes up a lot of time and energy, which would be better spent on one's own production process".
"We are giving this time back to the customer.
This means, our customers can work more productively".
Such a service package is considered to be a revolutionary idea for Europe, but MAG has been employing a similar approach in the USA for some time now.
MAG told manufacturingtalk.com that the concept had been very successful in America.
MAG Maintenance Technologies accompanies the machines through their entire production life.
So MAG not only takes care of maintenance and repairs, but the company can also refurbish machines to extend their life.
There are now over 600 service employees throughout the world that ensure the smooth running of this comprehensive support package.
Tooling - tools are very often a deciding factor in daily production and MAG Maintenance Technologies will supply its own tools that have been especially adapted to the corresponding machines and applications.
Boyd said: "We align the tools directly with the machine and the CAD/CAM program to the application in question and this guarantees the highest possible performance." An advantage of the solution is that tool management will in future also be at MAG.
This means that MAG supplies the exact tool for production, just in time avoiding unnecessary machine downtimes.
The MAG maintenance strategy not only supplies the service but also the products and above all the software to guarantee the end user gets the most out of their MAG Cincinnati machine.
With Freedom E-LOG, the company is presenting an MES tool (Manufacturing Execution System) that enables the user to stay informed at all times about all the important factors in production.
The Web-based solution offers all relevant data in real-time such as tool stock levels for machine workload for detailed planning of production.
Freedom E-LOG prepares standard reports about the production and machine workload.
Concise graphics and tables quickly create an overview of production.
The data gathered can be immediately transferred to the ERP system and then be referred to for job planning and optimum exploitation of capacities.
The MES is not the only piece of software that has been developed in the context of the new support concept.
MAG IAS has also launched artiFACT - a Windows-based package that monitors operations in the corresponding machines.
The machine data acquisition program artiFACT starts by checking tolerances in the machining process and issues reminders about servicing and maintenance intervals.
The program is an important component in the MAG Maintenance Technologies strategy as is providing spare parts.
MAG Maintenance Technologies has spare parts for 50 different machine brands at its central warehouse.
The service is not just for users of MAG IAS machines but also companies that have machines from other manufacturers.
Commenting on the high level of readiness to deliver, Boyd said: "We can already send 90% of the spare parts out on the day of ordering", Boyd continued: "We approach the "challenge" of the machine in production holistically.
The machine may be the focus of our interest, but not the sole focus.
We examine the environment very closely and offer various options for optimization.
We also consider one of the most important factors of production - the people working with the machine." This is why MAG offers different educational courses within the framework of Maintenance Technologies; these courses are to help customers' employees to achieve an optimum result with a specific application.
With this total concept, MAG is taking on responsibility for ensuring that the customers machine is always optimally calibrated, maintained and operated throughout its entire life cycle.
The only thing the owners have to do is decide what they want to produce with it.
MAG will even send experts over to help customers develop an optimal machining strategy when changing to a new or different product.
