Machine tool builder expands in E Europe

Machine tool builder, MAG Industrial Automation Systems, now controls the ThyssenKrupp Technologies production plant in Kecskemet, now known as MAG Hungary.

MAG Industrial Automation Systems has assumed control of the ThyssenKrupp Technologies production plant in Kecskemet, Hungary MAG Hungary will support manufacturing capacities for all the MAG brands

The acquisition enables further increase of the sales, service and supply base in Eastern Europe.

During 2007, MAG experienced significant growth resulting in a high capacity utilization in MAG's German operations.

Therefore, the new plant in Kecskemet will form a key part of MAG's overall production strategy and world-class manufacturing capability, providing additional availability of parts and components, resulting in improved machine delivery times for its global customer base.

"MAG Hungary is an important element in our strategy for Central and Eastern Europe.

With the additional resources, including sales and service capabilities, we will be able to operate much more effectively and flexibly in the region.

The entire Supply Chain and production process will significantly benefit from this acquisition", said Markus Grob, president of MAG Europe.

For years, the former ThyssenKrupp Technologies plant, with its excellent equipment and high quality standards, has been a certified supplier for European manufacturers.
