ISO9001:2000 certification requires a framework that promotes and delivers continual improvement and establishes measurable objectives in all areas of the business.
The standard requires fewer mandatory procedures than its ISO9001:1994 forerunner, but places a greater responsibility on the company to determine what documentation is needed to control its processes, meet customer requirements, and achieve continual improvement.
Commenting on achieving ISO9001:2000 certification, Rob Hill, Vice President EMEA/ Asia Sales and Global Marketing, said: "This award makes an important statement about the culture of our business.
We now have a living quality system that, as well as delivering quality products in an environment of continual improvement, also extends quality to place a high degree of focus on total customer satisfaction."
