MDH Wireless Technologies has launched the workerSentry lone worker emergency call system for calling assistance in urgent situations.

MDH Wireless Technologies has launched a lone worker emergency call system that enables assistance to be summoned automatically or manually in urgent situations The system is designed to enable employers to meet their health and safety obligations for staff working alone or unsupervised, and provides peace of mind to employees knowing that help can be quickly on hand if required

The workerSentry features a proven wireless system, allowing a wide range of transmitters to be used to initiate alarms.

These alarm signals are transmitted to receivers, which can then be coupled to different types of equipment to ensure that the alarm is raised in the most appropriate way.

Extended ranges can be easily managed using signal repeaters between transmitters and the receiver.

Transmitter types include: Lone worker transmitter.

This is worn on a belt or carried in a pocket and features callbuttons and a tilt switch.

Pressing the buttons or allowing the unit to tilt away from vertical (in the case of accident or injury for example) will cause an alarm message to be transmitted.

Pendant transmitter.

Worn around the neck or carried in a pocket, this fully waterproof transmitter is a convenient and robust device.

Wrist transmitter.

Worn on the wrist, this fully waterproof transmitter gives instant access to assistance.

All these devices send signals back to a central receiver, which is used to raise the alarm.

This may be done by simply connecting a siren or strobe.

A more sophisticated solution might be to couple it to a secondary transmitter, which then broadcasts alarm messages to pagers over the premises, alerting first aiders or supervisors.

A popular solution is to couple the receiver to a landline or GSM dialler, alerting colleagues who may be offsite.

The workerSentry system is ideal for use in special needs schools, industrial or commercial premises where people may be working alone and it may not always be possible to reach fixed call points.

Tim Payne, sales and marketing manager for MDH Wireless Technologies, commented, "The beauty of this system is its simplicity of installation and operation.

It is easy to set up and will help ensure safety for lone workers while delivering peace of mind for employers that help can be summoned quickly in the event of an emergency".

All equipment conforms to UK licensing requirements and CE regulations.

The workerSentry system is easy to set up and use and does not require any ongoing service contracts.

MDH Wireless Technologies is a trading name of customDesignTechnologies .
