Travelling column VMC has dual-pallet indexing
Vertical machining centre with a travelling column design and integrated rotary dual-pallet indexing system provides higher levels of productivity and output and efficient workpiece loading/unloading.
Wide range of CNC machines will suit all tastes
High speed lathes, as well as vertical and horizontal machining centres, to suit all tastes, will be exhibited at Mach 2002 by C Dugard.
whatever the hard or brittle material, the Chevalier range of slicing and surface grinding machines and vertical profile grinding machines are designed to perform consistently and accurately.
For example, take the FSG-H818CNC or the B818CNC machines.
Both are high efficiency, high precision multipurpose grinders particularly suited to intricate profiles and mold components such as those required in for aerospace, automotive, electronic, medical and defence applications.

Low-cost turning and MCs cost under GBP 50,000
High-speed vertical turning and machining centres offering production times that are significantly faster than current machines can achieve - with up to 96m/min rapids - cost under GBP 50,000.
Double-acting ballscrew cuts machine downtime
Very fast-moving mill-tap centres, zippy machining centres and a very nippy pick-up spindle vertical turning lathe are the results of applying a double-acting ballscrew axis drive.
Super-fast machines do not use linear motors
An "amazing response" was given at MACH 2002 to the UK launch of CNC machines offering production times that are significantly faster than current machines, but costing less than GBP 50,000!
Both provide excellent rigidity and precise positioning with full Fanuc OM automation - and both offer outstanding versatility for all types of grinding (multilevel surfaces, punch, slice, plunge, pitch, side-wheel, profile, form, index and creepfeed).
Or there are the FSG-2040TC and 2060TC column type, high precision three-axis surface grinders.
These programmable machines provide rough or fine grinding for mass production.
The precisely balanced spindle motors are air cooled to ensure accuracy and the wheelhead is finely positioned to ensure downfeed repeatability to within 0.002mm.
For two-axis, submicron surface grinding Chevalier provide the ULTRA-H612CNC or the ULTRA-B612CNC.
Both of these machines provide mirror sufacing (surface roughness) to within 0.25mm; a positioning accuracy to within 0.5mm and a grinding accuracy to within 1mm.
The extra long guideway design of the spindle seats on these machines provides high rigidity and helps to overcome the cutting resistance.
An optional linear scale system can be mounted on the column to compensate for pitch error and to ensure accuracy.
For a smaller, multifunction surface grinder, Chevalier offer the SMART-H818 which is designed to meet the needs of novice and experienced CNC operators alike by providing the simplicity of a manual grinder and the sophistication of a CNC machine.
Without requiring complex programming codes, the SMART-H818 can still be programmed in G-code format or can download from a CAD/CAM system.
The table speeds vary from 0.02 - 25m/min.
Meeting the financial needs of the industry today - "Cost is the major issue in today's industry," says Eric Dugard, Managing Director of C Dugard.
"Our customers need accuracy, reliability, performance and high productivity - but at the right price.
To enable them to achieve this we offer a range of innovative and practical rental schemes and finance packages to help them spread their investment over a period of time.
We also provide full installation, support and maintenance packages - plus extended warranties - so that our customers can choose the option that suits them.
Flexibility is the key word in order to meet the ever evolving needs of our customers." "As our customers' requirements become more and more sophisticated, Dugard offers them the very latest in technology (both in the machines themselves and in the control systems) to help them stay at the forefront of today's industry.
At the same time, we maintain our fundamental policy of providing affordable quality plus performance." CD-ROM catalogue - Eric Dugard adds, "Many of our customers have been requesting our new CD-ROM catalogue of products.
This is a recent innovation for Dugard and it was particularly well received at the recent MACH 2002 show.
While our website already provides up-to-date details on our product ranges, services and financial packages, many customers prefer to use our CD-ROM in order to browse through our ranges (off-line) at their leisure. Request a free brochure from C Dugard ...
This is just another way in which Dugard continue to make it as easy as possible for our customers to access the information they need.".
