Low-cost turning and MCs cost under GBP 50,000
High-speed vertical turning and machining centres offering production times that are significantly faster than current machines can achieve - with up to 96m/min rapids - cost under GBP 50,000.
Double-acting ballscrew cuts machine downtime
Very fast-moving mill-tap centres, zippy machining centres and a very nippy pick-up spindle vertical turning lathe are the results of applying a double-acting ballscrew axis drive.
* A high-speed, heavy duty turret giving outstanding rigidity and accuracy.
* A cast iron, heavy duty, 45 degree slant bed allowing optimum chip clearance.
Efficient operation and accuracy - the Eagle 300 has been designed with a host of features for precision and cost-effective production.
* X and Z axes linear guideways providing high speed rapid traverses (20 and 24m/min rapids respectively), high rigidity and precise positioning.
* The hydraulic tailstock can be controlled by program or manually.
* The efficient chip removal system incorporates a pull-out swarf and coolant tray to keep downtime to a minimum and allow for easy integration of a chip conveyor if required.
The Dugard Eagle 300 has the following specifications: * Maximum swing 600mm.
* Maximum diameter turned 450mm.
* Maximum turned length 762mm.
* Bar capacity 77mm.
* Spindle speeds 30-3,500 rev/min.
* Spindle power 22kW.

Also coming soon will be the Eagle 100 and the Eagle 200MC.
At MACH 2002 (last April) Dugard launched the "basic format" Eagle 200 - the first in this series of new Eagle lathes.
The basic Eagle 200 offers and 8-inch chuck and prices start at GBP 31,500.
Dugard are now just about to launch the Eagle 200MC (the more highly specified version of the Eagle 200 which offers driven tooling) as well as the Eagle 100 (with a 6-inch chuck and prices starting at GBP 25,000).
Prices will vary according to the specifications/options required.
All the Eagle lathes in this range are of slant bed configuration with mill/drill facilities available as an option.
There are two versions of each machine to choose from: either a direct drive spindle for general applications or a high-torque, two-speed gearbox for the most demanding applications.
All the Eagle CNC Lathes are available with Fanuc or Siemens control systems, together with parts catchers, bar feeds and tool setting probes.
C Dugard Machine Tools market, distribute, install and support their own range of CNC lathes and vertical machining centres throughout the UK and Europe under the name "Eagle".
The Eagle brand has achieved wide recognition for quality, reliability and speed of operation at remarkably cost-effective prices.
Indeed, the Eagle vertical machining centres have become one of Europe's fastest selling range.
