Prestigious HMCs feature rigidity and
accuracy

Viewed as one of the most prestigious ranges of horizontal machining centres in Japan, two basic applications - high productivity and boring and facing - are covered.

Niigata are viewed as one of the most prestigious manufacturers of horizontal machining centres in Japan The Niigata range can be split into three distinct areas of applications :- High productivity - this comprises of the SPN and MPN models

Pallet sizes of 400/500/630 and 800mm square are available with spindle speeds up to 20,000 RPM.

Spindle power of up to 45kW and rapid traverse rates of 60 metres/min coupled with excellent swarf removal ensure that these machines produce your components cost effectively.

An added feature on the MPN80 is that this machine is equipped to allow grinding operations to be carried out.

Heavy duty - this is the HN range and offers pallet sizes of 500/630/800/1,000 and 1320mm square.

This range is of traditional design and features solid slideways and gear driven spindles making them suitable for the most demanding applications.

Boring and facing - these models are based on the HN Heavy Duty range and feature a 'U' Axis on the 50 and 63 models.

The stroke of the 'U' axis being 40mm.

On the large models the 'U' Axis stroke is 130mm accompanied by a 'W' Axis (quill), which is 130mm diameter with a stroke of 300mm, thus making the range extremely versatile for components such as valves, pump bodies, gearboxes etc.

Niigata also offer state of the art Fanuc control systems which include their own Smart Maintenance System.

This allows Niigata machining centres anywhere in the world to be connected via the internet to the Niigata Headquarters in Japan.

This system enables users to access data almost instantaneously for maintaining the machines or for trouble shooting - thus minimising downtime and ensuring productivity.

For the above machines a wide range of automation such as pallet pools and FMS systems is available to enable unattended operation and maximum utilisation of the installation. Request a free brochure from C Dugard ...
