Wide range of CNC machines will suit all tastes
High speed lathes, as well as vertical and horizontal machining centres, to suit all tastes, will be exhibited at Mach 2002 by C Dugard.
This agreement sees C.
Dugard selling the Edel range of high-speed gantry machines in the U.K.
and Eire.
Within the EDEL range there are 2 types of machines firstly the Koordimatic, which is a 3 axis travelling gantry machine offering Spindle speeds of up to 18,000 rpm.
Secondly there is the Cyport, which is a 5-axis travelling gantry machine, offering spindle speeds of up to 18,000 rpm.
The Cyport machine features a 2-axis head that is manufactured by Cytec.
The Cytec head features a in built 21kW motor driving a HSk63 taper, with the axes being controlled by a Direct Drive Technology.
This feature eliminates the need for drive gears etc, reducing the number of moving parts required, thus improving machine reliability.
The torque characteristics of this motor allows machining of light alloys at spindle speeds of up to 18,000 rpm ( with options to 30,000 rpm ) but still having sufficient torque and power to machine Titanium at 450 rpm.
The Cytec head can be changed manually or if required fully automatically allowing various heads to be used.
The Koordimatic capacity starts at X = 1600mm and Y = 1200mm.
Above this both the Koordimatic and Cyport are offered with Y-axis from 1500 to 3000mm, the X-axis ranging from 2000mm up 12m and possible longer on customer request.
The Edel machine is aimed at companies in both the aerospace and mould and die industries and is as with all the Dugard range of machines they are excellent value.
Currently Dugard are working on many enquires and will shortly announce the supply of a CyportT 5 axes machine to a prestigious sub contractor to the aerospace industry. Request free introductory details about products from C Dugard ...
