Wide range of CNC machines will suit all tastes
High speed lathes, as well as vertical and horizontal machining centres, to suit all tastes, will be exhibited at Mach 2002 by C Dugard.
The fast cycling Eagle 450 XP falls into line with the C Dugard of Hove, UK, specification philosophy in providing the customer with a choice in order to exactly meet the ideal operating conditions to maximise machine utilisation and productivity.
In the Eagle 450 XP, for instance, the main spindle can be specified with a high speed 15,000 rev/min unit or alternatively 12,000 and 10,000 rev/min packages and with the choice to select BT 40 taper for heavier duty milling operations or BT 30 for higher speed drilling and tapping.
There is also a choice of control systems and full digital drive packages from Fanuc or Siemens.
The machine can be under Fanuc Oi control with a Fanuc 5.5kW AC spindle motor but can also be specified with the optional Siemens 802D, having a 10.4 inch colour TFT screen and graphic display with Siemens 10kW AC motor drive.
Rigid tapping is standard.
The Eagle 450 XP has a table 700mm by 320mm able to accept loads of 150kg.
The axis travel in X is 450mm, Y, 350mm and Z is 380mm each of which can be covered at rapid traverse rates of 36m/min and fully programmable feed rates up to 10m/min.
Positioning accuracy is +0.005mm and repeatability + 0.003mm.
For both the BT40 taper spindle with a maximum tool diameter of 100mm and 5kg weight and the BT30 which can accept a 76mm tool diameter and 3kg weight, the carousel style magazine and auto-changer has 12 positions.
As standard, the machine incorporates powerful chip flushing arrangements and a screw-type conveyor to pull swarf to the rear of the machine.
Other options available include a fourth-axis package, automatic tool length measurement and spindle probing. Request a free brochure from C Dugard ...
