Wide range of CNC machines will suit all tastes
High speed lathes, as well as vertical and horizontal machining centres, to suit all tastes, will be exhibited at Mach 2002 by C Dugard.
With intimate knowledge and manufacturing pedigree, based on the fast growing automotive industry in Korea and its supplier requirements, Hyundai-Kia machines are installed in transmission plants producing 450,000 units a year, in two axle production centres making 820,000 units a year and the Group's constant velocity joint facility where 1.15 million joints are produced a year.
The new compendium details 10 models of slant bed, driven tool and subspindle lathes with capacities from 530mm swing by 190mm turning length and 45mm bar size that include spindle powers up to 33kW.
There are details of fully integrated front-loaded, twin-spindle lathes with robot loading, having up to 510mm swing by 250mm turning length, single and vertical turning centres up to 800mm chucking capacity and a 780mm swing integrated turning centre with subspindle option and 22 tool magazine.
There are 15 models of vertical machining centre depicted with 23 variants covering table sizes from 650mm by 300mm up to 2700mm by 950mm in bed-type, travelling column, universal and high speed, 40,000 rev/min spindle versions.
In addition, the company's latest high productivity compact and fast cycling drill/tap/milling centres have rapid traverse rates of 56m/min are shown.
There are nine models of horizontal spindle machines depicted that are configured with pallet or ram-type spindle, with pallet sizes up to 800mm by 800mm, extremely quick rapid traverse rates up to 80m/min with up to 120 tool magazines.
