The Dugard Eagle 760 vertical machining centre (VMC) provides a competitively priced machine for subcontract companies looking for a flexible, general good capacity machining centre providing heavy duty cutting cycles The Eagle 760 VMC has a 900mm by 410mm worktable set on a heavy duty cast bed with extended bearing blocks for the 460mm vertical Z-axis

The VMC has a working volume of 760mm in X, 430mm in Y and 460mm in Z.

The 7.5kW 40 taper spindle delivers 8,000 rev/min.

Rapid traverse rates are 24m/min to a positioning accuracy of +0.005mm.

There are two control system options of Fanuc OiMC or Fagor CNC 8055-i which has up to 1MB of RAM and option of 2GB of compact flash memory.

Rigid tapping is standard.

* Tool magazine - a 16 tool carousel magazine accepts tools up to 89mm diameter and 5.4kg in weight is standard.

A high pressure chip flushing system is supplied from a 210 litre wheeled coolant tank for ease of cleaning.
