For even greater flexibility, further developments in an innovative multi-function tool system allows users to drill, bore, turn and drill flat bottom holes with a single tool and single insert.

Ceratizit stand at MACH 2006 will emphasise the company's strengths within specific industry sectors, namely, energy and transport, automotive, mechanical, and oil and gas Within this environment Ceratizit will be introducing many new products that offer distinct advantages to improve productivity and profitability

The development of the 'Hypercoat' coating technology is unique and patented.

Ceratizit has a history of market leadership and continuous innovation in the area of the coating of carbide tooling.

HyperCoat utilises nano and adaptive morph technologies allowing excellent resistance to thermal and abrasive wear indicative of modern materials and machining environments.

HyperCoat is available in both PVD and CVD grades to provide comprehensive product coverage.

With this new coating technology Ceratizit has created an extremely smooth surface treatment resulting in excellent tool life, increased process security and productivity.

With these characteristics our tooling systems are very well suited to machining the widest range of materials and applications allowing tooling inventories and costs to be reduced For even greater flexibility, Ceratizit will be highlighting further developments in its innovative Ecocut multi-function tool system.

Ecocut allows users to drill, bore, turn and drill flat bottom holes with a single tool and single insert.

This concept of multi-function tools was originally developed by Ceratizit, the recognised market leader, and it has continued to develop its product offering in this sector.

Visitors to MACH will witness new inserts that have the Masterfinish cutting geometry allowing increased feed rates and improved surface quality.

These are combined with new carbide grades that bring increases in tool life and edge security.

The Ecocut range from Ceratizit is the original and best multifunction tooling system leading the industry Masterfinish is not confined to the Ecocut inserts and is used across our range to reduce cycle times as feed rates can be increased significantly.

This increase can be as much as 100% when compared to conventional inserts, greatly reducing machining costs.

The geometry also lends itself to delivering optimum swarf control on longitudinal turning and reverse copy turning of faces.

Delivering improved performance in milling applications, as Masterfinish does for turning, is the recently introduced Maximill 490-09 series of square shoulder end and face mills.

Designed to generate an exact 90-degree corner the Maximill 490-09 cutters combine a 'light' cutting action with excellent swarf control thanks to the development of new insert geometries.

These developments have not been at the expense of performance, though, with Maximill 490-09 cutters being capable of high metal removal rates.

Maximill 490-09 series features a comprehensive range of tooling sizes.

The development of the Maximill 490-09 cutters is aimed at the high specification machine centres and high tolerance market sectors.

Flexibility and performance is the aim of the Maximill 490-09, as an example a 42 mm diameter cutter has six insert pockets while a 66mm diameter cutter has eight.

Maximill 490-09 cutters are available in a choice of plain, weldon, and threaded end mill shanks and as shell mill-type.

There many more innovative products and machining solutions that will be introduced at MACH 2006 by Ceratizit UK for the specialist and general machining applications.
