Hand-held device shows noise levels in colour

A Casella CEL product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 26, 2009

Casella CEL has developed the Casella CEL-621, a digital one-third octave-band noise analyser.

The Casella CEL-621 includes statistical (Ln per cent) values, making it suitable for short-term hand-held environmental noise assessments.

The Casella CEL-621's high-resolution display presents results in a simple colour-coded format, minimising the risk of misinterpreting data.

On-board memory and USB download allow data to be included in reports without using specialist software.

The CEL-621 uses digital technology that helps measure up to 140dB in just one span, removing the need for range adjustment.

Digital technology makes the measurements stable and repeatable.

The CEL-621 can measure all broadband and octave measurement parameters simultaneously, meaning the user doesn't have to worry if the instrument has been set up properly.

All parameters can be chosen retrospectively.

The CEL-621 is upgradeable, allowing new features to be added as they become available.

It is supplied in a rugged briefcase, which also includes an acoustic calibrator, windshield, software and USB download cable.

The instrument and calibrators come with calibration certificates as standard, documenting compliance with the latest IEC 61672 Sound Level Meter standard.
