Leading board skills and testing support offered
AB Electronic Assemblies (ABEA) has invested over GBP500,000 to add new services to its portfolio, including bar coding, optical and BGA inspection, finer controls on screen printing and BGA re-work.
On his last visit a few weeks ago, David met with several existing clients and impressed them all with a demonstration of quality service, putting right any production issues which in the UK would take considerable time and effort to correct.
One of these clients, who has worked with David for around 4 years, had received test samples that had been sent to the UK and was on a visit to China to approve new components and assembly, which had been sourced by the factory in China to comply with EU regulations.
China First Plastics work with a number of factories of different sizes and skills, and were able to partner this client with a new factory following supply issues due to low production quantities.
Seeing the redesign of a new building product for the client through from conception to completion and testing in just 6 months, a job which in the UK would have taken over two years, the client is more than happy with the work of China First Plastics and the Chinese factory.
The client was further impressed when China First Plastics and the factory were able to react quickly to issues with the colouring of the mouldings.
The plastics were remixed overnight allowing the Client to approve the job before leaving the country knowing their job was in production and pleased that a problem had been resolved so efficiently where in the UK each process would have taken between four and ten days to turn around.
This is what David believes makes sourcing from China so beneficial and less stressful, not just financially but also the quality and service is exceptional.
He comments, "It is generally a fantastic and rewarding experience dealing with this new world of entrepreneurs who are always looking to extend their opportunities that companies like China First Plastics bring them .".
