Cimmetry Systems has announced that the latest service pack for AutoVue 17.1 supports AutoCAD 2005 and several other new formats.

Cimmetry Systems has announced that the new release of their AutoVue family of products (version 15.4 c1) contains native support for Visio 2000 and 2002.
"Since AutoCAD is the most used 2D CAD application in the world, there are numbers of users deploying AutoCAD 2005," said Pam Petropoulos, Marketing Manager at Cimmetry Systems.

The AutoCAD 2005 format is backwards compatible with AutoCAD 2004 (previously supported by AutoVue), but also includes some new entities.
A new format, "Sheet Set Files" (.dst), was also introduced with AutoCAD 2005.
In the latest service pack, AutoVue provides full support for the DST format and all new entities.
The service pack adds support for the following formats:.
* Full support for AutoCAD 2005.
* AutoCAD Sheet Set Files (.DST).
* Cadence SPECCTRA 14 and 15.
* CoCreate's ME10 version 12.
* PADS PowerLogic.
* Protel Schematics 98, 99, 99SE.
* Solid Edge 15.
* Visio 2003.
* Other enhancements.
AutoVue provides a single point of access and common user interface allowing users to view and markup over 450 different formats.
Formats include: 3D CAD parts and assemblies, 2D CAD drawings, PCB/IC layouts and schematics, raster, vector, hybrid and office documents.
AutoVue is available as a desktop Windows application and as a thin-client, server based solution for Windows or Unix servers.
