Citizen label printers support healthcare printing
Citizen Systems Europe barcode and industrial printers has announced that its latest CLP 521, 621 and 631 machines are all now available with support for Aztec and RSS symbology.
The new CLP-631 is ideal for producing small labels containing a large amount of complex data used inside mobile phones or on pharmaceutical packs.
The higher resolution is also excellent for printing rating plates and other small labels where graphics and logos are regularly used, such as CE logos or WEEE wheelie bin icons.
2D barcoding is also fully supported as well as the ability to print photo-quality images on media such as narrow wristbands.
The CLP-631 is based on the highly successful CLP 621 printer and incorporates the Citizen's innovative active ribbon control and positioning system (ARCP); this maintains a constant tension on the ribbon, regardless of the length used, and eliminates the problems of poor print quality caused by ribbons wrinkling or slipping,.
Perhaps as importantly, the ARCP system helps maintain optimum print speed and resolution.
Unlike many competing high speed 300dpi machines, where print speeds typically fall by up to 50%, the CLP-631 can run at both full speed and maximum definition, maintaining the best print quality even when operating at rates of 4ips and 300dpi.
In common with all the latest Citizen printers, the CLP-631 incorporates a simple, robust all-metal clamshell mechanism and high-lift print head, which makes it quick and easy to load and change printer ribbons, while a replacement print head can normally be fitted in less than a minute.
The new machine also features an internal power supply, standard parallel, serial and USB ports, internal Ethernet option and can be used with a wide range of standard and specialised media, and is available with an optional auto-cutter and label peeler.
The CLP-631 is available through Citizen's network of channel partners, has a two year warranty and is backed by full technical and aftersales support. Request a free brochure from Citizen Systems Europe ...
