Crown Equipment has been ranked fifth in the German magazine dhf's, 'World Ranking of Manufacturers of Powered Industrial Trucks' for 2005-06.
"Crown is a true Sysco partner.
We have received exceptional reliability, service and support from Crown," said Gary Cullen, vice president of distribution services for Sysco.
"Our relationship continues to grow and we find that Crown's industry expertise and attention to detail is invaluable".
Suppliers were chosen by Sysco's operations personnel and were graded on their ability to satisfy Sysco's requirements in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Criteria included elements that measure a supplier's ability to be a good team player, flexible, innovative and accurate.
In addition, those selected were to exhibit a high degree of professional ethics and integrity, provide quality products and services and be a good communicator.
"We work closely with Sysco to understand their business needs," said Crown Director of Corporate Accounts Jim Smeltzly.
"Crown's goal is to always present material handling solutions that increase overall productivity at the lowest cost of ownership.

Crown supplies Sysco with a fleet of electric lift trucks ranging from hand pallet trucks to very narrow-aisle turret trucks.
