If only we had CNC on our heavy machines
On visits to heavy engineering and power station maintenance shops, the production engineers there have often said: "If only we had CNC.... Acu-Rite now offers free feasibility studies to fit CNC.
* Increase of the number of automatically replaced tools (two-disc magazine - six holders for lathe tools and 18 rotary tools ISO 50).
* Increase of the productivity of machining (the speed of the milling spindle increased to 3,000 rev/min and the input to 37kW).
* Adding of automatic exchange of additional milling heads (fixed angle milling head, CNC universal head +/-110 deg).
* Improvement of technical parameters of the main drive of the clamp plate (system Master-Slave).
* Application of motor spindles to achieve better performance and technical parameters of the machines.
* Improvement of the design and general technical performance and serviceability of the machines.
Thanks to the so-called 'modular concept' of basic centres, the machines from CKD Blansko are able meet even non-standard requirements of the clients.
CKD Blansko will also support its participation at the fair by an extraordinary sales campaign for the acceleration of delivery of selected spare parts and by a special offer for performing service of the orders contracted at the fair, including the offer of quickened deliveries of certain types of machines.
Active participation at the last fair in 2005 brought the company new orders for machine tools.
"Thanks to our participation at the fair we were able, among other, to realize contracts for production of vertical lathes of SKD 40/50 D and SKD 32/47 D types," said Pavel Straka, head of sales department of the CKD Blansko vertical lathes division.
He continued: "The EMO fair is noted for big interest of the expert public, which we also expect from this year's participation.
Besides intensification of the existing business contacts it also offers new opportunities.
Active participation at the fair does credit to all important manufacturers of machining tools and is a matter of prestige".
* About CKD Blansko Holding - CKD Blansko Holding is a direct successor of CKD Blansko, an engineering company with rich historical tradition.
The beginning of the machinery production in the company's place dates back to 1698.
Since then the original company has transformed into the customer-oriented company of today, employing almost six hundred people.
For more than one hundred years, CKD Blansko has been specializing in manufacturing of water turbines and providing complex hydraulic equipment for water power plants according to various requirements and specifications provided by the customers.
Another important business area includes heavy-duty vertical lathes.
The company itself uses these lathes for machining of rotary parts of water turbines, which contributes significantly to operational verification of their reliability and service life as well as to acquisition of experience and knowledge for their further development.
CKD Blansko has been producing heavy vertical lathes since 1951 and more than 700 of them have been produced so far.
The subsidiary company CKD Blansko Wind specializes in turnkey deliveries of up-to-date wind power plants.
