JB Hunt needed to find a Lotus Notes synchronisation product that would allow its executive and sales teams to be more productive, enabling them to receive and answer their emails on the move and out in the field.
After testing several other products, JB Hunt sought a future-proof, stable and reliable solution that was specifically engineered for Lotus Notes from the ground up.
CommonTime's mSuite software was the perfect solution for the JB Hunt mobile communication challenge.
Dead time was transformed into productive time for the mobile executive and sales teams, who needed to access and interact with Lotus Notes.
They can now receive updates over the air to a handheld while in areas where it is not convenient to open a laptop.
"We have enabled our mobile workforce to be more productive during usually unproductive times".
"Now, our CommonTime users can gain timely information and respond to it while traveling, transitioning between meetings, or while on idle personal time," explained Brandon Stanley, manager of Client Engineering for JB Hunt.
"Although productivity is not easily quantifiable, surveys with our people in the field indicate there have been significant gains".
JB Hunt will continue to roll out more devices where it makes business sense.
The company is currently evaluating the handheld version of its sales force automation software and is also developing handheld solutions for the maintenance shops and driving force.
