Colder Products Company (CPC) will unveil its Identiquick smart coupling for the first time in Europe at Interpack 2005, Dusseldorf (Germany) - April 21-27 On the company's stand - hall 7, stand C06 - the new fluid connection and control technology, which integrates RFID (radio frequency identification) in to couplings and package closures or inserts, can be used in soft drink or juice dispensing systems and bag-in-box applications said Colder

The Identiquick is claimed to protect brand integrity, improve safety and help food and beverage companies realise cost savings.

CPC will also showcase another food service and packaging product, the new Disposable Universal Dispensing Coupler (DUDC) bag-in-box fitment.

Claimed to be a reliable, self-resealing, non-spill and cost-effective connection for condiment, sauce, beverage syrup and dairy food applications, the DUDC fitment is virtually tamper proof said Colder.

It is said to offer a foil seal that protects against contamination and provides evidence of possible tampering.

Additionally, the Identiquick RFID tagging technology is an available option on the DUDC.

"At Interpack 2005 we will demonstrate how CPC's engineering excellence lends flexibility, control, safety, and cost savings to a broad array of applications ranging from hot and cold beverage machines to bag-in-box condiments and rigid packaging," said Thomas Braun, business unit manager for packaging at Colder Products Company.

"CPC coupling and fitment technologies are designed to enhance the value and performance of our customers' processes and help them to meet changing dispensing needs," he added.

The company said that Identiquick integrates RFID technology in to couplings and package closures or inserts to enable dispensing equipment to automatically exchange product data at the exact time and location of connection.
