Clare's system allows flash testing of PCBs
Clare Instruments has developed a bespoke system utilising its HAL H101 instrument connected to a test enclosure that enables the easy flash testing of PCBs during the initial production stages
The Horizon 1500 series of cable and harness analyser tests everything from simple data cables to complex wiring assemblies such as those used in electrical and electronic systems associated with the automotive, aerospace, computing, medical, military and telecoms industries.
The standard test capability of this rugged benchtop unit includes automatic product learning, fault location and test report generation making it suitable for in process functional and final testing of electrical wiring harness configurations.
The Horizon is equipped with 128 high voltage test points as standard, with the capability for expansion up to 1024 points with high current (up to 1A) and hi pot testing up to 1500V DC and/or 1067V AC.
Touch screen control enables test programs to be established quickly and easily for maximum productivity on manufacturing lines.
In addition, a built-in hard disk drive provides high capacity test data storage capabilities, which can also be used for SPC statistical analysis as part of quality control programmes.
Highly reliable and accurate testing with the Horizon verifies the correct operation of components and connections, ensuring that any defective products or wiring configurations are highlighted immediately.
As a result, typical applications range from functionality testing of SCSI terminators and computer network switch hubs to the field analysis of wiring assemblies in military aircraft and vehicles.
The Horizon is the latest addition to the comprehensive range of electrical safety testing equipment supplied by Clare for all safety, conformance and type approval testing requirements. Request a free brochure from Clare Instruments ...
