Clare Instruments has introduced new test instrumentation designed specifically for the high-speed electrical safety testing of large volume throughputs on the production line.

In response to customer demands for faster production cycles, Clare Instruments has introduced new test instrumentation designed specifically for the high-speed electrical safety testing of large volume throughputs on the production line.

The new Elite series provides fast, efficient and reliable safety testing that saves time and money for electrical and electronic manufacturers.

Designed for dual voltage operation, the high performance Elite incorporates hipot, insulation resistance, earth bond and leakage tests as part of a full suite of 11 different safety checks - each configurable to the exact specifications of the product under test.

In this way the tester ensures that manufacturers meet the product safety compliance requirements of the low voltage directive and all major international standards including EN50178, EN60065, EN60335, EN60950, UL1026 and UL1270.

The Elite features a simple user interface enabling test engineers to create programmed test sequences for specific products at the touch of a button, with unambiguous pass or fail indications provided for all individual tests.

With traceability now synonymous with quality control and cost efficient manufacturing, the internal memory of the Elite ensures the secure storage of serial numbers (which can be uploaded by Barcode scanners) and the resulting test data.

These can be downloaded to computerised systems for storage.

Optional Windows based configuration software allows easy remote set-up and facilitates network control for multiple machine management, which reduces operator costs and speeds reconfiguration.

A selection of Elite models is available to meet the production line safety testing solutions of all manufacturing requirements.

Individual test modules can also be incorporated in customised test station solutions for bespoke or application specific test routines.

With over 50 years experience, Clare has an unrivalled knowledge of electrical safety testing and has advised clients in a diverse range of manufacturing sectors on all aspects of compliance with technical legislation and product standards.
