"We like to think of it (version 4.3) as the next logical step in application design.
Most people are familiar with the desktop they use everyday on their computer, we took that level of comfort and flexibility and made it available in our software applications.
", said Kevin Roth, Director of Application Development.
This new concept in application design allows users to create a mechanics desktop, a manager's desktop or any number of desktops populated with one-click links to the functions they need on a day-to-day basis.
While each desktop is unique, they do not conflict with each other.
Security features control access to the various desktops so you know your data is secure and accurate.
Other functions are easily accessible from the tool bar and menu at the top of the program.
The other major upgrade associated with this release is the availability of both collectiveFleet and collectiveShop in WindowsT MySQLT and Mac OS XT My SQLT ready versions.
"This is only the beginning of our branching out in to the world of alternate operating systems and true client-server database applications.
We should have a Unix and Linux version available by the end of the second quarter this year." said Jason Wonase, Director Core Development.
Other enhancements include e-mail notification, improved reporting abilities, a GPS module, a motor pool module and many other navigation and usability upgrades.
