Robotised MIG tandem brazing joins thin
plate
MIG Tandem brazing using industrial robots is a highly efficient joining procedure especially for refined thin plate, but also can be used for uncoated as well as low- and high-alloy steels.
MIG Tandem brazing with Romat industrial robots is a highly efficient joining procedure especially for refined thin plate, but also can be used for uncoated as well as low- and high-alloy steels Due to the fact that two wires are fed through the torch at the same time brazing speeds of up to 6m/min can be achieved at high process stability
Due to low melting temperatures of the filler metal this joining technology can be used excellently for high quality, corrosion-resistant and non-porous brazed joints, since the base metal is neither melted nor is the surface coating, for example zinc, destroyed.
Another advantage of this process is its ability to bridge gaps due to component tolerances.
